great views but minor shower design issue
The high ceilings in our Superior King Room gave a spacious feel that we loved! Waking up to the stunning lake view over the Sleeping Giant was a highlight of our stay. We thoroughly enjoyed the unique charm derived from the hotel's history as a former courthouse. Exploring nearby attractions, like the scenic lookout, was super convenient.
One downside was the design of the shower door. it opened towards the wall, making it somewhat awkward to use.

A delightful stay in a grand hotel
We enjoyed a lovely breakfast with amazing views of the lake. The grand architecture and charming staff made our stay special. Highly recommend it!
Unfortunately, the noise from the hallway and squeaky floors disrupted our sleep. Room could have used better soundproofing, which was disappointing.

Had a great time with friends! We explored the Mount McKay Scenic Lookout and definitely enjoyed our visit to the Definitely Superior Art Gallery. The place was centrally located, making it easy to access attractions. The breakfast spread was decent, and I appreciated the clean and spacious rooms.
One downside was the shower door design. It opened toward the wall, making it tricky to turn on the water without getting wet.

Unique Stay with Modern Comforts
We had a wonderful time at this reimagined courthouse. the blend of historic architecture and modern amenities was truly impressive. Our room offered stunning views of Lake Superior, and it was incredibly spacious and clean. The staff was friendly and helped make our stay enjoyable. However, I think they could enhance the experience by providing more information in the room about amenities and local attractions.

Breakfast was good but the off-site parking was inconvenient.

missingWrote a review on Jul 14local attractionscomfortable pillowspoor cleanliness
We had a fantastic time at the hotel, especially enjoying the convenient access to local attractions like Lake Superior Adventures and the Centennial Botanical Conservatory. Plus, the pillows felt like clouds, ensuring a restful night after our explorations with the family and our dog.
In my wife’s opinion, cleanliness could improve, especially for families. The carpets and linens felt a bit neglected, which made our stay less comfortable.

Comfy beds and chill vibe!
Just spent a night here and honestly, the beds are super comfy. The lady at reception, Nicole, was really friendly! Had some in-room breakfast which hit the spot. But man, the guy at the front desk when checking out was totally lost and it took forever to get help. Overall, a solid stay!

Couples find a gem, but pricey.
The breakfast was excellent , and breakfast up until 11 am was very nice for sleeping in. Also, the staff were very helpful , making our stay much smoother.
It wasn't cheap , but still manageable.
